World League of Volleyball coming to Chicago by Ultimate Sports Fan, Andrew

I went to the Sears Centre (an arena in the suburbs of Chicago) website to see if there were any intriguing sporting events there today or in the future. Most fans would think there are zero intriguing sporting events that play at the Sears Centre since the main tenants are: 1) Chicago Shamrox of the National Lacrosse League, 2) Chicago Storm of the Major Indoor Soccer League and 3) Chicago Slaughter of the Continental Indoor Football League which competes with the AFL2 (yes, AFL2 is the minor league of Arena Football which most people do not know about either).

While on the website I found the following headline -->

Men's World League USA Volleyball 2008
USA Vs. Bulgaria
Tickets On Sale Saturday, March 10, at 10 am

At first I thought, this could be interesting an event. On second thought, does the Sears Centre know what day it is? Saturday, March 10 does not exist. Are they selling the tickets today, Monday or Saturday, March 10, 2007 (which did exist)? Not to mention the second headline on the site which states the tickets for the all-important pre-season WNBA game between the Chicago Sky and Los Angeles Galaxy are on sale Saturday, March 7. Isn’t today Saturday, March 8?

On third thought, I recalled the Water Polo World League match the Ultimate Sports Wife and I attended during the summer of 2006 in Los Alamitos, CA. The Ultimate Sports Wife wrote a glowing article about the event. She will be thankful we will be in Vienna, Austria that weekend for Euro Cup 2008 and not trecking out to Hoffman Estates, IL for the matches.

Oh, but there are always the June 27-28 matches in Green Bay, WI (we’re also out of town for the July 11-12 matches in Bloomington, IL)!
