Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team fell to Green Bay, 78-60, on Thursday night at the Pavilion.

Jessie Miller scored a team-high 15 points, while Briana Hinkle added 12 points and four assists on the night. Cassie Johnson pulled down a team-best eight rebounds against the Phoenix.

The first half remained tight until Green Bay (21-4, 13-1) sparked an 11-3 run to lead 22-13 at the 9:29 mark.

The Flames (8-16-4-9) responded with an 8-3 burst to get within four points with 5:52 on the clock, but the Phoenix drained 13 straight points to head into halftime with a 38-23 advantage.

UIC turned on the heat offensively to kick off the second half with a 14-5 run in the first five minutes to cut the deficit to nine points (37-46).

Green Bay answered, eventually taking a 22-point lead with 5:02 remaining in regulation. UIC made one last push with eight straight points to get within 15, but ran out of time.

Kayla Groh led the Phoenix with 24 points, while Kati Harty pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

The Flames host Milwaukee on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Pavilion at 5 p.m.
