Catch round one action from Anaheim on NBC on Saturday!

ANAHEIM, Calif. (February 8, 2008) - The Honda Center hosted preliminary go round action of the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) tonight with the first of three thrilling performances of the Anaheim Invitational. The event is stop No. 8 on the Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS). Earning top honors in round one was Brendon Clark (Morpeth, NSW, Australia), who scored 90.5 points on SoulJa Boy, owned by Judd Leffew and Gary Isabel. Red hot Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, N.M.) finished half a point shy of Clark to take second place in the go-round aboard Wrangler Magic, owned by Homestead Genetics. Round two rocks into action on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m., while the third and final day of action takes place on Sunday, Feb. 10 starting at 2 p.m.

Friday also featured two men battling for a $25,000 reward in the Enterprise Challenge, a bonus program designed exclusively for the Anaheim Invitational. As the round one winner, Brendon Clark (Morpeth, NSW Australia) was up against the top scoring Team Enterprise rider, Billy Robinson (Galax, Va.), for the bonus. The bulls were pre-selected for the challenge by PBR Livestock Director Cody Lambert; after a coin toss during which Clark made the call, Robinson faced Priest Creek Ranches’ 3 Spot, while Clark was up against Ryan McClure’s Hypnotic. Robinson earned 88.5 points for his effort aboard 3 Spot to edge Clark, who scored 88.25, by just one quarter of one point for the $25,000.

The Enterprise Challenge is being featured on the NBC broadcast of the Anaheim Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 4:30 p.m. ET (please check your local listings for detailed times in your area). Rounds two and three and the Built Ford Tough Championship round will air on VERSUS on Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.

It turned into a very lucrative evening for Robinson as, by virtue of his victory in round two in Winston-Salem, N.C., last weekend, he was also eligible to compete for $5,000 in the Enterprise Rent-A-Car “Ride with the Best” bonus ride. Robinson successfully covered Western Rodeo, Inc.’s Stinger for 87 points to claim the $5,000 bonus.
