Since I had tickets for the second game, but would not receive a refund, I walked home in order to get re-organized and change the Ultimate Sports Baby. Plus, by re-entering Wrigley Field, I could finally receive a promotion – the Tyler Colvin bobblehead. This was probably the main reason the Cubs kept the games as a separate ticket so fans from Tuesday night could get their prize. Rain caused Tuesday night’s Cubs game to be rescheduled to Wednesday night setting up a day-night doubleheader. This was one of the first times I had not planned to attend a Cubs game, but was able to after the game was postponed. I brought the Ultimate Sports Baby to the first game of the day in what turned out to be a scheduling nightmare for the Cubs.

However, I debated on whether to attend this game tonight since I was already in the suburbs before the game and had to drive to O’Hare airport after the game. But then I thought this could be the first four game sweep I ever witness. I have attended two other four game series this year at Wrigley …

It was my first night alone with the Ultimate Sports Baby as Nicole stayed in Atlanta for an extra night. Obviously with Nicole out of town, we both went to the Cubs game Monday night.

The Padres scored 9 runs in the last five innings of the game to defeat the Cubs 9-5. The poor play of the Cubs is finally catching up in the stands. The announced attendance was 36,814 but the stadium looked barely over half full with plenty of room in the bleachers. …
