Fan Deck: Tigers at White Sox
I had a dilemma tonight. Two of my friends were in from Los Angeles for the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) conference. Their activity for the evening was to attend the Chicago White Sox game. But, the game started at the same time the Chicago Blackhawks were playing Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Philadelphia.
My solution was to attend the White Sox game, but watch the Stanley Cup Finals from the Bullpen Sports Bar down the right field line. The bar is a regular sports bar where you can watch the live White Sox game while keeping an eye on the television.
Beg, Borrow and Deal
However, my solution changed when Hawkeyes Jim texted that he had an extra ticket in the PrivateBank Fan Deck for me. The FSTA was hosting 150 conference attendees and I guess not enough folks showed up. The price per person for the deck is $96.67.
PrivateBank Fan Deck
The Fan Deck is an all-inclusive (food and drinks are included) area. The area is open from when the ballpark opens until 90 minutes after the game starts. It was my first time on the Fan Deck, but I will probably look for extra tickets to the Fan Deck as groups enter the stadium through Gate 2 – the nearest gate to the Fan Deck.
Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox
The White Sox crushed the Tigers 15-3 scoring seven runs in the fourth and eighth innings.
At 8:45 pm, free food and drinks were over and the White Sox had an 8-1 lead. It was time to head downtown to watch the third period of the Blackhawks game. One of the easiest sports bar downtown to get to after a game is ESPNZone located at 43 E. Ohio St. and only one block from the Grand Red Line stop.
