No Strollers Allowed at Stanford Baseball

16 April 2011 No Comment

Saturday was another doubleheader day. My Dad and I were planning to attend Game 2 of the San Jose Sharks opening round series versus the Los Angeles Kings. But we were free in on Saturday afternoon, so we decided to also attend the Stanford baseball game versus Oregon St. The game started at 1 pm.

As was the case with the golf tournament, there were no scalpers for the Stanford baseball game so we bought tickets from the box office.

Ultimate Sports Baby at Sunken Diamond

Klein Field at Sunken Diamond
Sunken Diamond is a great place to watch a baseball game. It has a grassy area which is perfect to relax and watch the game. Also, it made it easy for the Ultimate Sports Baby to wander around rather than be cramped in a seat.

However, whoever came up with the rule that no strollers are allowed inside is an idiot.  I understand not allowing strollers at Stanford Stadium for a football game.  But, Sunken Diamond has plenty of room for strollers.  Plus, college baseball is more of a family atmosphere so a blanket rule not allowing strollers inside Stanford venues makes no sense to me.

Oregon St. at Stanford
Stanford lost their second straight game to Oregon St. 8-1 as Josh Osich improved to 5-0 on the season.
