What do you do when a hour and a half of rush hour traffic stands between you and the Cubs game? You get creative and perhaps a bit desperate.

The Ultimate Sports Fan found himself stuck at work, way out in the North suburbs with little chance to get to Wrigleyville in time for the 6pm night game. Many sports fans might just give up. Instead, the Ultimate Sports Fan hightailed it North…to Miller Park. Now, many people might not think to head North if the need arises but its a great choice for Chicago fans in a pinch. And, not a bad Cubs road trip I might add.

In addition to the fun of catching a Milwaukee Brewers game, you get the added bonus of watching the Sausage Race in the 7th. Its a great time to head to the park since they now have a “chorizo” running in the race. Its a proverbial United Nations of various weiner-type characters.

Beyond the most creative food marketing in baseball, Miller Park has some of the best stadium food. The brats with special sauce are the best. In addition, I just got a text from The Ultimate Fan that the chorizo is now the best selection in the park…so go crazy, head north and in a pinch, get creative when small obstacles stand in the way of a game.
