Timing of Event #1 affects Event #2: Diamondbacks at Cubs

1 May 2010 No Comment

Today I planned to attend two sporting events. First was the Chicago Cubs game scheduled at 1:20 pm. Second I planned to drive to Milwaukee for the Bucks Game 6 playoff game versus the Atlanta Hawks. There was only one problem. The Bucks game started at 6:00 pm – meaning the Cubs game needed to end around 4:15 pm in order for me to make the Bucks game on time (it takes a minimum of 90 minutes to drive from Wrigley Field to the Bradley Center). Any delay in the Cubs game and I would not make it to Milwaukee on time.

Pre Game Dining
Before the game, the Ultimate Sports Wife and I ate at Uncommon Ground for brunch. Uncommon Ground is a great restaurant to take the family before the game. The place is calm and avoids the insanity of Wrigleyville bars.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Chicago Cubs
After losing to the Diamondbacks 13-5 on Thursday afternoon, the Cubs came from behind to defeat Arizona 11-5 today. The game lasted 3:02 – meaning it ended just after 4:20 pm giving me barely enough time to make the drive to Milwaukee for the Bucks playoff game.
