I am going to the Blackhawks game tonight. I am going to the game with Todd San Jule who is flying in from Seattle and we are planning to purchase the $8 student tickets….that is what I was planning to write before the Blackhawks game last night.

Instead, the game against the Wild was practically sold out! When we arrived at the ticket window they told us they only had $20 standing room only (SRO) tickets available. We decided to look for tickets outside the stadium. We offered one guy $20 each for $75 face value tickets. He turned it down. Next we found another set of $75 tickets which we offered and paid $25 each. The seats were 8 rows up from the glass about 5 feet down from the blue line.

I cannot remember the last time I was at a sold out Blackhawks game. It reminded me of going to Blackhawks games in the mid 1990’s.

Before the game we went to Athena Greek Restaurant. Greektown is about 5 minutes from the United Center on Adams St. and Halsted Ave.
