It was LeBron James’ afternoon. After losing Game 3 on Thursday night to the Chicago Bulls, there was no way James would come out Sunday afternoon and lose on national television. And perform he did. Not only did he easily make a half court shot at the end of third quarter, he delivered his fifth career postseason triple-double and became the first NBA player to post 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists while draining six three-pointers during the playoffs. Many signs around the United Center stated that “We’ve already seen #23” or something similar. But James put on a show equal to that of Michael Jordan.

It was only the 5th triple-double I have witnessed in person. The last triple-double I witnessed was on April 3, 2007 when Lamar Odom performed the feat for the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Denver Nuggets.

Joakim Noah held his ground and grabbed 20 rebounds. This was the 10th time I have witnessed a player grab 20 rebounds in a game and Noah has achieved the feat three times while I was in attendance. The irony is that when Odom had his triple-double on April 3, 2007, Marcus Camby also grabbed 20 rebounds.
