Taylor drifted right out of the groove. He got back to the center of his lane to finish the run. McGinnis's car was sluggish off the starting line and was unable to get up to speed.

He got the car back into the groove to salvage the run. He backed off the throttle right away. He got it back in the groove to finish up a pretty good run. Patterson and his crew must not have had the right setup for the changing evening weather as he was nearly half a second slower than his time from the first session this afternoon.Left Lane: Shannon Jenkins Runs 6.262/223.47, Now #1 No Prior Run Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 6.339/226.70, Now #7 Best prior run: 7.943/126.44, Was #19Jenkins shook the tires in the first session and the run was DQ'ed when he bypassed the scales. Janis shook the tires and had to back off the throttle in his first qualifying attempt.This time, both drivers got the tires hooked up and both had good runs. Janis moved up 12 spots in the order and is in the field for now. Jenkins moved into the top spot in the qualifying order and will have to wait and see if this time is good enough to keep him there.

He was the number one qualifier in the last event but went out in the first round of eliminations. This time, the 2003 defending champion was the number one qualifier and made it into the final round.
In the final, Castellana had the quicker start and stayed out in front the whole way in his nitrous-breathing Camaro. Hahn started to close the gap but got a little loose at mid track and Castellana went on to take the win.
